Donovan is an associate attorney at Harris & Hayden Law Firm. After graduating law school, Donovan accepted a position with the prestigious, international firm, Milbank, LLP (Milbank) in its Los Angeles office. During his tenure with Milbank, he gained extensive experience in tax equity and debt-financings and complex commercial transactions, routinely representing the world’s largest financial institutions and closing several billion dollars in transactions.
At Harris & Hayden, Donovan leverages his vast business knowledge to advise companies on a range of general corporate matters. Donovan also handles a wide variety of litigation matters including commercial law, labor & employment, class actions, civil rights and personal injury.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Donovan served in the United States Navy Reserve as a Second Class Petty Officer (EM2) attached to Coastal Riverine Squadron 11 (CRS-11) based out of Seal Beach, CA. He was honorably discharged and awarded the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
Donovan received his B.A. and J.D. from U.C. Berkeley and U.C. Berkeley School of Law, respectively. While in law school, Donovan earned Honors in Constitutional Law and Business Associations, served as editor of the Berkeley Business Law Journal and earned a Business Law Certificate from the Berkeley Center for Law and Business (BCLB). During his first year of law school, he interned with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission where he assisted attorneys investigating and litigating securities fraud. Donovan also volunteered with the Juvenile Hall Outreach program where he educated and mentored incarcerated youth on their constitutional rights as a juvenile.
